Quick question about torching out bushings...
I bought a nice little propane torch. Should I basically just be burning the **** out of them, or just trying to melt them down so I can use something else to push them out, or what?

Concentrate the torch on the metal insert first. once it's hot, push it out. Now you're left with only rubber.
Now that there is some flex to it, try hamering a flat head screw driver between the metal and the bushing. If you're lucky the screw driver will walk around the bushing when you spin it, seperating it from the metal and it will pop out. (you can try a drill too as this is basicaly the same thing) it won't work on every one but when it does, it's nice. on the ones it doesn't work on just start chiping and prying peices of the bushing out untill all you are left with is the **** stuck to the metal wall. burn that **** and wipe it clean with a rag (while it's hot).
Getting the metal insert out first is key.

Its pretty easy with a torch, just get them so hot that they literally melt out of the control arm, takes like 5 minutes per bushing. Just clean the arm up real good when its cooled down and off you go.\
Sounds like you should leave the center piece in and just heat the perimeter metal...

What I've been doing is actually pretty simple... I heat the ever loving **** out of it, then wedge a butter knife in between the bushing and the housing.
It's actually kinda fun!
