quick noob question

quick noob question

I was just wondering if a clutch and flywheel from a 87 will fit my 84 gsl-se, im not sure if its from an 87 the guy just said its from a second gen non turbo. thanks

also dont i have to change the counterweight when i get a lightened flywheel? if it dosent come with it can a lighter one seperate from a vendor?

sure it'll fit, will connect and bolt to the e-shaft no problem. the question is will it work? then the answer is no. if u use the tranny and starter then maybe. not really sure so hopefully someone more knowledgeable in the 2g will chime in.

It will work. I've swapped the clutches between my 87 and the 85 widebody. You will need the counterweight for you specific engine. Those don't interchange from the SE to the S4. You can buy the counter weight from any vendor or occasionally find them here in the for sale section. They tend to go fast.
