when i would flip on my parking lights, and headlights a little *ding* sound would ring, now it doesn't.....anyone have any suggestions? (82 gsl). i wish i knew and i feel dumb for asking, but it was dark and i couldn't find why it wasnt ringing.

without the *ding* i left my parking lights on and killed my battery and had to be jumped. it usually goes off when i open my door and the lights are still on...

check to see whether the door switch is stuck... that's the most common problem on my truck.... and my '79 RX7 at least uses the same style door switch...

 

ill check it tomorrow. is there anything else that could be the prob?

hey, but also usually when i turn the **** to turn on my headlights and parking lights it makes the noise, but now it wont. isnt that something different than just the door itself?

 

If your dome light comes on, then the door switch isn't the problem. Other than that, I don't know what else is invloved in the dinger circuit.

 

dome light doesn't work. its disconnected. i need whole new dome light components, but its not that important to me
