QUICK HELP (searched) engine on stand
so i bought the ATKINS engine stand. and it didnt come with hardware. I have the 750lb harbor frieght enigine stand and i dont have anyway to get it on. From what im reading if i pull the studs out of the front iron i can use my own bolts only i dont have a tool to do it and i have toi have my buddys dads cherry picker back tonite and im moving the engine to my brother-in-laws because i dont have a garage. I have 2hrs to figure this out. I already went to HOME DEPOT to get some bolt to thread on the studs and thats a no go and im searching and searching and getting no where. please help! thanks _noel
I never used an adapter when I put my engine on a stand. If I remember correctly there are 4 studs/threaded holes on the front iron. 2 are 10x1.25 (?) and the other 2 are 12x1.5 (same as lug bolts). I just bought some longer bolts and threaded them in.

Not the greatest picture, but hopefully you get the idea.

threads on side of block match the lug bolts - that's what I used to mount the engine to the adapter plate on my Atkins (after I threaded out the air con bracket/bolts)
