quick carb cleaning question

I don't feel like spending about 40 bucks for a gallon of carb cleaner. So i was woundering If i could use like an engine degreaser/cleaner stuff. Since its only 20 bucks for 4 liters

Yes, any good cleaner will work ok. Even something like Simple Green or dish soap. Just make sure that if its caustic (especially to aluminum) that you dont soak it long. It may take longer to get it spotless and take more work, but it'll be cheaper.
