You would get a substantial horsepower gain. I don't know how much off the top of my head. But, costs are a different story. The actual porting is around $300, but you have to tear your engine down completely to do it. So you are looking at the cost of a rebuild.

Presuming intake exhaust and fuel are taken care of, a 10-20% Hp gain is resonable to expect.

Not if your apex seals are in good shape and you can reuse them. That will save you several hundred dollars.

I go there on occasion. www.rx7.com
Rotary Performance in Garland, TX. The people are wonderful, especaily Mary. However, the prices are steep...really steep with some things, but the work is %110 satisfaction and gauranteed. I believe a rebuild is around 2K+ and that is not even for a port job. I think that adds another 100. But if you ever have questions call or stop by, great people they are.

Have you looked into doing it yourself? All you need is a rotary tool, templates and some time. You will save many dollars.

Typically 15% but up to 20% depending on quality of the porting.

Porting the housings and plates runs around 300-350$ if you supply the housings, or as an addition to a rebuild.

WELL WORTH THE 300$

yeah...if you are curious about porting...check out www.nopistons.com ...they have a VERY comprehensive and detailed section dedicated to porting and such.

also...click my sig and check out my cardomain site...one of the pages shows me porting my last engine...it was a 1/2 bridgeport...so there are 2 streetports and 2 bridgeports, i did it all with a dremel and did NOT use a template...

Yea bro do it yourself! Save yourself big bucks and at the same time learn more about your engine! I did mine with large street ports and the thing is a monster compared to before with a Holley 650 cfm......it a beast on the road!
