a question

when i get up to like 4500rpm my car starts to buck, and then when i slow down and coast to a stop itll stall, this is because of the carb right, cause im getting a holley later this week but if its not the carb then ill pay to get the bucking fixed, could it be the timing??????

check timing and replace fuel filter as a start. see if that does anything.

I agree, however if still have the same problem after. You should check the coasting valve. Bad timing and a clogged fuel filter will cause bucking, but if the coasting valve isn't preventing excessive vacuum during deceleration it will not be able to draw enough fresh air into the rear primary port and as you slow down you will stall almost everytime. I had the exact same problem which you have described and to fix the stalling the coasting valve had to be replaced. Now considering that you will be switching to a Holley carb, I don't know if you will still have a coasting valve.

The fuel pump could also be going. I dunno. I'm pretty new to this game, too.
