Putting 16s on the FB...what tire size??

Getting some enkei 16x7 +40, would like suggestion for side wall height from those with 16s... Gonna be 204/xx/16. Also some pics of cars with 16s would be cool. Thanks all!

I used 205/40r16

Came out really close as far as the speedo goes. Maybe a HAIR smaller.

looks like 205-45-16's would be about right, 205-50-16 is stock t2 i think, that would be ok.

taller tire = taller gearing

on an NA shorter = better

turbo taller is probably good

The 205/40r16 will be 1/2" smaller in diameter than your stock 185/70r13. Will provide awesome steering response and cornering. 205/45r16 will give the same diameter, however the 205/40r16 size is plentiful in selection and thus very cost effective! I run 205/40r17 so the profile will look the same on yours. I also run 4.88's in the rear.

In one of my RX-3s (similar wheel well to a FB). With the correct right backspace and tires, these wide *** 16's rolled very well. Unfortunately, I have no idea what your meant by +40s

RX-7 doc, sorry was on my phone, on the way to pick the wheels up. Guy I bought them from has a hook up ontires so I was trying to find the size I need.

Wacky I would like to get a killer set of wheels with nice spacing but I got a good deal on these wheels, and I know +40 offset was what gslse used and I did the suspension swap. Current wheels rub and I'm trying to eliminate that

you could go 225 on the back and 195 on the front i have racing hart 18x7 1/2 on the back with nitto 225/40/18 and the front with 17x7 1/2 with 195/40/17 and it doesn't rub at all.

The narrower tires of the front will sure help make steering easier!!
