PS/AC Belts

Well I put my belts on Sat and my brother-in law overtightened them because he is a mechanic but I guess he was in a hurry to get to TX for a job. I took it cruising Sat night and it did fine. Started it up on Mon to go do some errands , let car reach op temp and the AC/PS belt started smoking. Well turned engine off and black rubber was everywhere. Looked and the PS pulley was sliding back/forth. On Fri when I had car lubed and oil changed tech told me I had a PS leak but he could not find it.Wel I drove car today and it seemed to run/idle better without the PS/AC. and can do with out AC until April when Humidity gets high. So how do I take off the power steering pump and block off or reroute the hoses. Can someone draw an illustration on how to do this. I have a Hayne manual coming this week so it should have some diagrams in it for removal but not on relocating the hoses. Engine is a 12A. Thanks to all the help that I have been gettting from the forum. I might just have to sell my 2 Starquests and buy more RX7,s

Gary,

I found a thread that may help a bit on the P/S removal. I also added a pic that I marked the two lines that I believe that you need to connect together. Maybe someone that has done this before could help clarify to be sure.

exactly. you will need to connect hose from the top of the steering box to the a nipple coming out from near the frame. you will see what Im referring to once the p/s unit and hoses are gone.
