Well, as we knew, the CarTech wastegate has a bad diaphragm, and replacements aren't available, so I need a new one. The plan was to buy a TiAl, but our parts guy can't get them any longer. He's recommended a Synapse, but I know nothing about them. Anyone hear anything about this wastegate?

The tial 38mm will bolt to the same flange as the Cartech Wastegate.

Project canceled.

My insurance company will not cover this addition of "aftermarket" parts since I have the SE insured under a classic motor vehicle policy. Given that my last RX-7 was stolen and never recovered, I need to be careful and play by the rules.

So, this will appear in the For Sale forum. :-(

Man, if you really want to do this, change your policy. I have Haggerty. They're pretty flexible.
