proform shift light; anyone hook one up to a '7?

Hey, I want to install a proform adjustable shiftlite in my '7, but I am not sure how. You are supposed to hook it up to the coil, but we have 2 coils. So, how do I do it?
I know i am supposed to set it up for "4cyl".
Any sugestions?

4cyl is correct. Hook it up to the ground side of the trailing coil (the one more towards the front of the car)

Just hook it to the leading coil negative terminal since there is an open connector there.

proform is about $60. I think they should leave it alone at factory v8 setting...like the MSD 6AL setting for a rotary engine.

That's what I do! :P Every new passenger thinks that it means that I'm going to blow my engine (or another car honking at me).

hay bob I once lost a $100 Race to a guy I new I could beat any day of the week, Becuse his car was so loud I could not hear My engine and my tach was not working. to this day I don't know if I shifted at 3000 rpm or 12000 rpm. gota have a tech in the real world and a light is nice to. Just a thought for a cheep light how about just running a wire from your buzzer to your bright light indicator and let it double *** a shift light!

And if you dino your engine with a port job, you will know where your new peak hp levels are at, and you can set the light to that. HA HA they do have a use.
