Problems i have

Well i'm beside my self on this car it quit on me wednesday but i jump started it and it ran all the way home . But now i let it set over night and now when i start it the starter spins faster than normal and it will backfire when u hit the accelerator.So whats with it now lol.

If it backfires check the timimg. Check to make sure that all of your sparkplugs are clean, and that they are all recieving spark. The last thing could be a bad carburetor, But I really doubt it. The starter spining faster, I dont know. From what you said, I'm convinced it is timing/spark related. Easyand cheap to fix/replace. Good luck. We are hear for you man. Dont get too frustrated and give up on the rx. When you finally get them restored, they are WELL worth your trouble. Very fun cars.
