you'll have to remove the door panel to get to the rails and motors...it's a pita to remove and reinstall but well worth it once it's all cleaned and realligned...make sure you clean it with a good degreaser then regrease all the joints...

I had the same problem with my 84GSL and found a used P/W Switch on Ebay. Fixed the Problem.
But to save some money. Remove the Switch on the Center Console and Spray Some Electric Contact Cleaner or Silicon Cleaner and spray the Hell out of it to include the Connector- Wipe off any excess and you should be OK.
I wish I'd done that 1st before spending $9.99 for the Switch as that is all that was needed on the old switch.
Oh well now I have a working back-up Switch.
It's still not a bad Idea to remove the Door Panel and Lube up The Rails with Permatex White Lithium Grease. It's a very light grease that is a Moisture Resistant, Anti-Friction, Non-Greasy type Lube that I use on Door Jams, Hinges and Rails, Hood and Fuel Door Rods, Seat Tracks,, ETC-ETC. Sold at all Auto Shops to include Nappa.
Good Stuff.
