So I'm almost done with my power window conversion but for some reason I can't find the switch harness in the car. I have removed the drivers seat and pulled up the carpet but can't seem to locate it. Am I missing a sub harness? Here is a pic of what I am looking at right now. There is a large harness connector that seems like it needs more things attatched. Could I need a new sub harness from this point? Car is an 85 gs

On the driver side under the dash near where the center comes out at the shifter... there should be a wiring harness plug this should have a wire thatt runs to your E Brake switch. That is the same harness that holds the power window switch, but if your car didn't have power windows from the factory you will have to make one. The only part of the power window harness that is installed in all trim models is the wire that runs from the door to the center under dash and the power/B+ wires that you plug into with the other one that runs to the switches. If you would like mine isn't completely installed. I could pull it out and take a picture for you. Let me know.

The harness you are pointing at is the correct harness location. Going from the door to the white harness, all models have the same wires, including power windows. However, the jumper that plugs into that harness differs depending on your options. Yours is a GS model, so your jumper excludes the power window wires. You are pointing at it in your pic, and it should be obvious which wires are missing in your models jumper. You can either buy the correct jumper out of a power window model, or you can just run custom wires. If you buy the factory power window jumper, the power window plug will end up by the shifter under the center console, as the above commenter posted.

Go to the build threads section and look for the 85 montego blue build. He has great pics and explanations for how to do this, among other things.

Yes there is a sub harness that's made for the gsl model with extra wires in it that plug to the switchs alowing you to control the window motors. The gs model has all the wires from the door panel to the center colum. Then you have to switch the harness that has your parking brake wire in it out for the gsl model one that has rear window wiper wires, both window wirres, cruise control on off, ect
