Power Mirrors install
I just bought a set of power mirrors and the switch off eBay. I own a '84 S, and am under the impression from a friend that there is really no difference from the S and he GSL-SE as far as these things go. I should be able to simply plug the mirrors in and they will work, for the car is wired to handle everything already, just everything wasn't actually installed on the S. If you think I am stupid for getting these without actually knowing all the details first, I saw these with 30 mintues to go in the auction so I jumped on them. I can always re-auction them. My question is, is my impression right that these things can be installed easily, or do I need something else to do it besides the mirrors and the switch? If I do need something else, what is it and where do I get it?
Thanks!

My father said that there were no unused wires leading into the door and that some sort of boot was needed to keep the weather out. I am not sure what he is talking about. Could the necessary wires be there, but not necessarily leading into the door? Are they folded under the dash or something? And what is necessary to wire them through to the door?

Dunno on your application, but on the door you just remove the gromet poke a small hole in it, and tape the **** outta the wires, then split loom them.
I know my 85 was wired with everything from cruise control (which it didnt have) to power mirrors. Now I added power windows to it and it wasnt wired... On my 80 I put power mirrors on it, and it took me a few minutes to make out the schematic
Good luck..
