The part number WAS 12-1330. Try eBay or google; Someone's gotta have a stash.

Crutchfield sells the Metra AntennaWorks PW22 that looks similar to the Radio shack one. (I have one in my closet.) It's a bit more pricey at $60. But you'll have the peace of mind that there'll be replacement masts and parts available for years to come. I doubt Metra is going to quit making stuff any time soon, being one of the main suppliers of aftermarket widgets for stereo installation.

I second eBay. I was looking for a replacement mast, and there was one of those eBay sellers that did nothing but sell aftermarket power antennas for several models of car, most notably the first gen RX7 when I looked.

Do you know who the eBay seller was? I saw one call antennamastrus.com, but when I went to their site, they only had them for 2nd gens. Is that the same one? I am still looking for an antenna. I was gonna check out Radio Shack, but appartently they don't carry them any more.

why dont you just get a whole new antenna and replace it all? rewire it so that it triggers like all other antennas? seems like it would be easier than keeping the stock one. I am thinking of doing this myself soon.

One of the ebay sellers was antennax, if I remember correctly. Try a search for them.

Careful of antennx..I bought one of theirs and it's already crapping out after 3 months. This not a radio shack one..I've bought 2 of those in the past and as far as I know are still going strong. You had to call the RS main office to get it, but I think they're all gone. Do a search under my name (mwpayne) there's an old thread on here somewhere. Also, you can do a search on 'radio shack'.

I moved on to the short black whips a few years ago ( antenna, that is ). It looks and works good. Matches the trim well ( black ). I never really thought the chrome auto antenna was all that sporty, but each to his own.
