Powder coating... what do you guys think?

Hey I recieved a flier from Harbor frieght tools today and they had this Powder coating system, I don't believe it can be that easy to powder coat,,,, I thought it was a process that required more equiptment..

Has anyone tried this system and those it suck?

Let me know what you guys think.. If this works out I'm gonna go nuts powder caoting evrything...

whatever you powder coat has to be small enough to fit in your oven for baking. and i may be mistaken but you have to negatively charge whatever it is that your powdercoating so the powder coat will stick and not over spray all over the place.

powder coating is easy. its the prep and cooking/curing thats the hard part.
My friend uses the same one from them for all my engine parts. works great.

The Chicago gun is the cheapest one on the market, it does work though. Beats the hell out of what Sears wants for thier's.

There is a ground wire and clip, the electric charge helps more powder stick to the part being coated, but it still goes all over the place. You will need a seperate oven for baking, once used for powdercoating, no more baking cakes and cookies.

I did, but my memory card died before I got them off. Only pix I got are with the parts on the car which does them no justice. 2 years and they still look like day one.
