You have lots of choices. Some widebody kits go extremely out there, making the car look like a full blown racecar, creating lines where there were none.Others are more subtle and follow the factory lines while flaring the fenderwells only a moderate amount.Mine is made by Mariah,a well known long standing company.Their kit is true to the factory lines and only flares a bit.
I was also apprehensive about how the final look would appeal to me.Im very happy I went with the moderate look.I added a few custom tweeks to it for a personal touch. It allowed wider tires and wheels, but without making the car look like a GTO racecar or a mutant Porshce.
One word of caution.....the cost of professional, proper installation can,and usually does FAR exceed the purchase cost of the kit.

that's a beautiful kit Steve....Lines look awesome and the fenders don't stick out like bookshelves. Good pick!

No,the fenders and front spoiler are integral. While not one piece, the two parts cannot be used without each other.
The alternative if you dont want to change the frontend, would be fender flares.Bolt, rivit or bond on flares are easy to install and much more affordable. They can look very sharp if done right and the right wheels are selected. Some guys like the industrial, race look with exposed rivits.Other like to blend them into the steel fenders for a seamless look.

this is some pics of my widebody 7.....i had a front end collision with a sand bank and i needed to get a new front end...thats the reason that i have the white 3rd gen front end...it was the only airdam that i could find that was wide enough to fit my fender flares......the center hole is being fiberglassed tomorrow so i should have some up to date pics of the kit finally finished and attached......

the damage u can see on the back right fender is from where a motorcycle hit me...all he did was crack my fiberglass b/c the kit is made of some really solid fiberglass.....im really unsure who makes the kit that i have....i emailed pics to mariah motorsports and they said that it looks a lot like the old IMSA GTO widebody kits that they dont manufacture anymore.....well hope u enjoy the pics

Unhappy

Here was the last pic of my widebody, it was still unfinished, and only flat black. But sadly I had a faulty injector catch it on fire. It is bad to look at, but the good news most of it made it out okay, including the motor and turbo. Maybe in a year it will be back up and running. As of right noe I've moved my attention on the second gen RX-7 I own.

That air dam is sweet, especially the side diffusers. I don't recognize it, is it all custom or did you base it off something?

Steve, what does the air duct feed that is above your bumper and looks to exit the hood? Oil cooler?
