That's hot.

I was thinking of going two-tone when I paint my car this spring, but I'm not exactly the best painter in the world. I'll probably just stick with a respray in silver, though I think it would look good if the lower half underneath the trim was that dark grey.

Two tone would make the car look very very eighties (even late seventies). Maybe you just pick up a Ford Granada to get the two tone out of your system and do the 7 proud. Everyone loves something, my brother in law had a pig on the farm everyone loved so there still is someone who could love a Granada. http://www.americangranada.com/

Now if that didn't sway you from going two-tone, this might. PS, NO DISRESPECT INTENDED TO ANY RX7 OWNER WITH AN ORIGINAL TWO-TONE PAINT JOB!

I like our cars cause they look 80's late 70's also why I like the SA better.

Someone here has a black and red, and it is sexy.

Here is my 85 GSL-SE with a homemade 2 tone paint scheme. I will have it repainted the right way later this year.

lwnslw-- your car is ******* hot!!

kim--that car is gorgeous also

2 tone on the first gen looks great. i need to learn how to use photoshop so i can play around and figure out what scheme i eventually want to go with. im thinking maybe something similar to lwnslw. i like the red line to seperate the colors.

THANKS........
I am looking forward to having it professionally painted so it will look better.
I am also going to paint all the rubber strips silver to match the lower half and hopefully I will get some Panasports to set it off Ol'Skool style.

Also, I thru in the Red stripe for contrast as well as to match the Red brake calipers and rotor hats.

Two Tone

Here is another photo of my red/silver GSL, plus a photo of a shaded paint job I did, bright silver on top, shaded to a charcoal silver on the rockers.

I like the full two tone look, but I wanted something a little more subtle and stealthy for my car.
I borrowed the "cockpit" design of the Acura NSX,1st gen Eclipse and 90's Camaros to seperate the glasshouse from the body while not making a large color break line.Combined with tinted windows,I think it came out very smooth and sleek......
