They don't have nearly the reception that the exposed masts do. In fact, even the very (rediculously) expensive antenna built into the windshield on one of my other cars can't match the reception that the mast gets.

Having said that, I think I still have the hidden one lying around if someone wants to buy it

Thanks for the link...

I purchased one, even though I only just recently replaced mine with the asian universal in this thread.

I'm hoping the black mast on this looks as good as others I've seen.
