If you are puttting a carb on that is setup to run a stock motor, you should be fine. If you are putting on a Holley 600, it will be a pig, the 465 or 485 forget which it is, will be fine.
When you get it set up, PM me. I have a 600 to put on the bp and I'm missing a few part on the carb. I could use some pics to get it setup right. For now, I think I'll just put the Mikuni to break it in.

Im running a Holley 650 Vaccuum Secondary on a 13B Street Port. Its more or less fine.
Word of advice, double pumper.
Another word of advice, work with a smaller 390 or 465 first. CFM isnt too too important because you can always jet it up or down to compensate.
Oh and consider Edelbrock or Demon carbs. They fit the same as a holley, on the design is different, and in Edelbrock case, more efficent.
