That is your bowlvent, the solenoid your'e talking about is the bowlvent solenoid.

Right, but with the vent capped off that sol doesn't do anything right?

Either way I don't think it matters if the vent port is hooked up to the filler tube vac source or straight to the air box does it? Or does it need vac for some reason? If so why? It still lets the fuel drain back into the tank if it's vented to atmosphere right? Not trying to argue just trying to understand! Thanks for the diagram it's 10 times easier to understand than the 28 page picture write up.

Now that I have vented the port I circled in my pic the car doesn't continue to dump fuel into the carb when I shut it off now. And I don't have anymore problems with hot starting.

And no the return line and suply line are the two rubber hoses going to and from the carb.

in your other post all that i can see is just the one line...un less the one on the far off screen is the return..
