Question Polyeurethane Bushings

I looked at Victoria British, and they don't sell a "kit" for the first Gen. Mazdatrix also breaks it down into pieces.

I ordered Tokico 5 ways, Eibach Pro-Kits, and the Dust boots this morning from Shox.com

I might as well replace all this stuf while the engine is out, as it will make things easier.

I want to replace the original bushings as well. (My current springs are very bad).

The Energy Suspension website lists the parts I need, but they won't sell to individuals. I also did a search here on the forum, and decided on the setup this way as well. But I couldn't find a good priced dealer.

Where is the best place to order these from? Preferably as a kit, so I don't leave anything out. I might just replace the rear with factory Mazda rubber though..

On a related note - Do I need Swaybars as well? The car will be rarely driven, and usually in a straight line. I figured the new Urethane would be fine.

Positive comments and advice are both welcome.

Do you need to pull all the ball joints and whatnot to replace the dust boots? I've noticed all mine are split and I've been meaning to replace em.

IMO, a bigger front swaybar is a really good idea. I noticed a big improvement in handling and the car generally feels a lot better when cornering. I'm also running the stock rear bar with urethane bushes.

Call up Ground-Control ( http://www.ground-control.com/gcrx7cat.htm ), they can walk you through what bushings you'll need for your application. With your new shocks and springs you'll want to keep your worn out rear bushings.

Thumbs up Ball joints and other suspension experiences.

Really, the only realistic way to replace the ball joints is to replace the whole arm. Any other way, the life of your repair would be short at best. Call Almaden Mazda, near San Jose. Cheapest place to get factory parts I've found even considering shipping costs.

I replaced my front and (adjustable) rear swaybars on my GSL-SE with old stock Suspension Techniques I saved from a previous 1st Gen I had. Replaced all the bushings with polyurethane purchased from Mazdatrix (they'll essentially put a kit together for you if you just ask). Also installed Tokico Shocks/Struts and Springs I purchased from Racing Beat.

I live in a canyon, so windy drive daily. The difference in cornering was amazing. Freeway ride is a bit stiff, but not really that bad, got use to it quickly, and worth it IMO.

Also, fyi, Mazdatrix makes a very trick header set-up for your GSL-SE that gives a much better action to your Actuators. That is, if your still running N/A.
