I am a website designer and devoloper. If i build a website just for RX-7 for RX-7 owners to show off thir rides or show progress of thier car, would anyone become a member?

The site would require you to become a member and you can have a profile and up load pictures of your car. Then other visitors can search the categories and pull up your info , car info and pictures. I am attaching a poll. Let me know if you all would like this or thinks it is a stupid idea.

Thank you for the positive vote and input. The reason I might do this is because I have a second gen which is not running right now and as I do work I plan on taking pictures and showing my progress on line.

Yes image hosting would be built in, I would control how many pics a user can upload.

 

You can do that here, either in threads or in your vbgarage.

I can do all of those type things on this site. Not to tell you what to do, but I would not use a 2nd site.

 

Well I am going to definatley make a site just for my car, for me to post the progress I make. As I do anything to my car I will post new pictures of what I do as well as put a full description as that what I have done and how basically a brief explanation. I will make a user section if anyone would like to become a member for free and have thier own section on my site!

I meant well by putting this post and poll up, thinking if I made a site designated for 7 owners where they can become a member for free and have thier own section to show off their car and show the progress of their projects they might like the idea so far I have gotten a very mixed response. I will build the site for just my car when it is up and fully operational, I will post it here and anyone that might have an interest becoming a member will be welcome!!

I am going to start the site this week, I am going to buy the name today.
When I buy the name and get the site running I will post it on here for all.

Thank you me too that is what I am aiming for. A website which is NOT a forum which is only for rx-7 owners to put up their cars and even show progress over the years! Of course mine will be first on it. LOL BUT any rx-7 owner is welcome to use the site free of charge.

 

Any suggestions on a name? I have already designed the site as an image in photoshop. Now i have to buy a domain name and fit it into the design I came up with. After that the real work begins, and I have to build the mysql database and build the back end and code it in PHP. So for now I am stuck on a name.

I need another website to watch like I need a bullet in my head...3 RX-7 and 4 Pontiac sites is enough...I barely get anything done in my garage and with my family as it is...

 

heck yeah im in...the name should be obvious so the site is easy to find when someone wants to learn about rx7's....that way more members will come over and more people will find out that rotary's rock!!

 

ps. though the poll says "stupid idea", I myself wouldn't have characterized it as such...I'm simply not for yet another RX-7 site when we got this beast run by Ryan....it satisfies all my rotary needs...
