I am using a second gen coil to fire both leading plugs. Without trailing.
I have not run the car enough to have data on the possible build up on the trailing plugs. I am just playing around so play at your own risk. Anyone who does not run the trailing should keep an eye on the plugs.
If you do a search for "direct fire" in first gen tech you will find all sorts of ways of doing this. Most move the trailing wires to the leading side of the cap.
