Is play okay?

Okay, so I'm doing a gsl rear end swap, and on the new (180,000 mile) rear end, there's just a tiny bit of play when you turn the shaft before it spins the wheels. Like less than a quarter inch. is this okay?

Seems as long as it doesn't have any sideways play it should be ok. I have about as much play on my LSD, granted there's over 190K miles on it...but it appears to work fine.
