does anyone have these or know about them do they make a power difference?? i'm thinking of getting them and re installing the 6 ports if they give power. cause i love all my topend i just neet some more lowend power..

as for the pineapple sleeves, I know they flow MUCH better, but as far as a performance difference, i've heard everything form barely noticeable to a BIG difference.

So I guess if you allready have the engine out, you might as well. It wont hurt anything, and at $50 the price is right.

 

i asked a guy from mazdatrix and he didnt seem too excited about it when i told him about the 6port sleves. its a simple design and its pretty common sense to think of that idea. if it made a BIG difference mazda would of thought of that. if not in the GSL-SEs, they would of atleast put those type of sleves in the 2nd gens.

 

Ya know, I think they were talking about this in the second gen forum not too long ago.

Basdically mazda did not include these inserts because of costs, it would have doubled the cost of the sleeves to something close to that.

I'll go and see if I cant find that thread real quick.

 

if we buy it from pineapple racing for $50 then theyr price must be around $30 at the most. if mazda made em it would be even cheaper. a whole lot cheaper cuz theyr mass producing. and if it made a BIG difference im sure they would of done it. im sure they didnt stress over 50bux for theyr budget. heck, they nearly went bankrupt from research and development for theyr lemans race car, the 787B(thats one of the reasons why ford now owns a part of mazda.... not realy a ford fan...). btw, mazda is the first and only japanese car company to ever win the 24 hour lemans. shocked the world. then in 1990, FISA decided that starting in 1992 no RCE engines would be allowed... POS!

back to the 6port sleves..... man.... wutever.... maybe mazda didnt think of the pineapple racing style 6port sleves... even if they made alot of improvment from the series3 13b, series4 13b, to the series5 13b. for me, i dont realy care about the pineapple racing sleves and i wont get em.

off toppic but i give mad props to mazda for the renesis motor. im simply amazed by that motor. it went from pushin around 150hp out of a na 13b to pushin 250hp out of a na 13b. we needed turbo and alot of boost to get kind of power. i cant get over the fact that it makes 250hp out of a 1.3litre, naturally aspirate motor straight from factory. heck, its evn smaller and lighter than the 13b-REW, while its offering improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. .................................................. .renesis in a 1st gen.... thatll be sick!
