Pictures of relocated batteries

Anyone have pics of where they relocated their batteries or just a description. I need to move mine and would like some ideas for placement. Thanks in advance

Behind the passenger seat is best. If you still have the compartment, it's a great stop. If the car is stripped, then it's an even better spot.

Do you mean directly behind the seat? Because I dont have a compartment there. I was thinking where the spare tire previously was would be my best option, but Im still open to ideas.

SAs just have carpet over metal where a bin COULD go - there is no door to all that wasted space

I was told that you needed to vent your batteries. Should those batteries be vented? I know for racing who cares, but for driving on the street since they are physically in the passenger compartment should they be?

I think tech may require you to have a vented battery box, correct me if i'm wrong.

You only need ventilation if it's not a sealed battery. Pick up an Optima and you've got nothing to worry about.

Keep in mind that some sanctioning bodies will require it to be in a specific type of box/case. Even if it is a sealed or gel battery.

Also - if you relocate the battery to somewhere other than the engine compartment, the aforementioned sanctioning bodies will require you to put a cut-off switch in the rear of the car.

Looking @ the Gauge Size of the Wire's on the side of the Battery, you must have one hell of a Sound System!!!
Where did you find those Battery Post?

I bought the Battery Relocation kit from Summit Racing $115.00us this fall and have a new Optima I plan on doing the same as your install.
I think that a majority of 1st Gen owners use that Location.
Great Job
