A pic from my first Solo II event with my '79

Earlier this year on a kart track. I really need to paint my car. That's the winter project.

Last week, after I did a test install of some VW Cabriolet flares

Showing off my new flares and my new 13x7 Revolutions

She's not the prettiest RX-7 in the world, but she goes pretty good and she handles great. Now that I've (mostly) got the car set the way I want it suspension and powertrain wise, I can turn my attention to the bodywork. By this time next year, she'll be rust free and sporting a new coat of silver paint.

MosesX605, +1 on the needing fresh coat of silver paint, my Rx is going in for it soon also, thats why I don't mind rocking the flat black hood for a while.

And I think its funny last time I had my car posted up every one was lukewarm on my hood, and now I get compliments. Thanks by the way, it feeds onto the airbox and the scoop was taken from a Z31 or early model 300ZX.

And Dan S Young inspires me to get my interior converted over to black and grey.

Oh, and if all else went wrong, I was going to post the photo where you can get a hint of my little brothers ride. It takes the focus off me because he is into the slammed Honda thing, and the rims of course.

What is the switch there for where the choke used to be, Rico, along with what seems to be a white button beside it?

Heres my 83, it was a project car for almost 2 years, it was a junkyard rescue, lots of rust had to be repaired, and lots of love went into it, not bad for my first paint job i think. Right now its 12a powered, but I have a 13bt sitting in the garage waiting for me to get some more money to finish it.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Yea I love the cobalts, they look great at night. The steering wheel is a momo Mod 07 I got it on eBay about a year ago, not sure if they still make it though, its a great wheel, its got a nice deep dish, that comibined with the 60mm omp (the brand, not the oil metering pump ) steering wheel spacer gives me plenty of leg room. The seats (which aren't that visable in the pic) are from a 90 GTU, they are much much better than th pos 83 seats. I'll be adding another gauge or two once I get going with the t2 swap.

ok a little more searching brought me to the site I got the wheel from (they had it for sale on ebay) and they still have it listed: http://www.ltbmotorsports.com/mod07.html I also have a momo wheel on my other 83 and got it from them as well, they were easy to deal with.
