I've been thinking about this conversion for a long time. My plan was to adapt 2nd gen front hubs and bearings to my 1st gen spindles by pressing custom bushings on my 1st gen spindles, then run 2nd gen rotors and 2nd gen 4-piston calipers. I would need special adapter plates, like the ones in the picture above. Of special note: The rear brake pads for 1st gen GSL-SEs and 2nd gen cars are interchangeable.
Question: What's the difference between 2nd gen foundation brakes (rotors and 4-piston calipers) and 3rd gen foundation brakes? Are the front caliper bore sizes equal like 2nd gen? Are the rotors the same size?

if you search this forum, a guy put the WHOLE subframe from a second gen, with the rack and pinion, into a first gen.... might want to run a second gen motor while your at itAnd you get their brakes.....
