my car is an '83GS.. the brackets that came with the seats were a very poor design. We had to cut them up and throw a little engineering at them. They now work great. The seats touch the door panels slightly.

All of these look great- thanks for the ideas...

Omazdaspeedo,
Not sure Of the color scheme, but the seats look nice
in the car. How are you going to remedy the pass seat?

the seats arent gonna stay that color its just that I traded for them and they came like that I'm having them recovered red and black instead. I'm building and bracket to raise the rear points and front outter corner about a half an inch to level it, the pass will sit like a half inch higher than me but once I get the console back in it wont be as noticable.

those recaros are beast, plus its RHD. i want a rhd first gen so bad, i think it would be cool riding around in a first gen on the "wrong side"

anyways, im getting this in the next couple of months along with some sort of aftermarket steering wheel...

i got to sit in one when i got my car dyno'd. it was too small for all my friends, but it fit me PERFECTLY. and for $280 its not bad, AND they make an adapter for a direct bolt in.

I'm also having problems with the drivers side due to that raised section for the exhaust, I've yet to have a proper look at the problem though

I've had my car broken into four times since it was new (i guess that's pretty good considering how easy it is to get into these cars). A little tip that I never wanted to learn; tinted windows keep the glass from breaking up into pieces when it's broken.

they sorta bolted in with a bit of work, had to modify the stock bracket to align with the bolts on the seat. a bit of welding thats all.

also on a side note, my friend is considering selling his black leather turbo MR2 Seats. came form a 93 i think.

pic 2 still got a nasty int.. you can see the miata cup holder good in this pic. only bad thing with the seats that i can say is the pass. side is sitting a little taller than stock. i dont mind as im 5'6 but my 6'5 friend has to lean the seat WAY back. the plus side is they hold you like a glove. great lat. support
