passing gas?

Plan on relocating my battery to storage bin on passenger side, and I'm curious if I'll have problems with the battery venting explosive/noxious gases into interior area? Also I see some of you are using Optima deep cycle batteries which aren't prone to venting and some gel type batteries, any suggestions?- thanks

I just had to look at this one because of the title.

I would go with the deep cell for that reason...(gos to turn on the radio...click.... kabooom)... dont really think itll get that bad but the health risks arent worth tring it.

peace

if you mount a regular battery, if you plan to race(NHRA/IHRA(pretty sure) requires a selaed box and vent tube to outside the car(drill down and out the floorboard), also i think you have to have a master cut off switch out side the car as well

FYI, if serious drag racing isnt your thing, then just get an optima
