Parts identification: e-brake cable

So I found a guy who is selling an e-brake cable via craigslist. He said that a buddy gave it to him a long time ago, and he doesn't know what rear end it's good for. Here are pictures he sent me. Can anyone identify it?

Thanks

-Jim
