i just got my 79 12a 7 on the road and i found another 1st gen in town that i am going to by tomorrow for parts, depending on what i can find out...so heres teh scoop...they guy who has this other 7 bought it for his friend for parts and blah blah blah it never got used and is currently sitting in his yard in tall grass...he is not sure what year it is and hasnt been able to find the title...it is definitly 81+...tail lights and wheels give that away...it has an 85mph speedo which leads me to believe its between 81-83. the body is shot and it doesnt run(forgot to see which engine it has...was there an option?), but it only has 55,000 miles, and the odo shows the hundred thousands. the body is totally shot but i think the tranny and rear end are good. would this be a limited slip rear end? what else would be interchangeable. also if anyone needs little parts, pm me...ill let em go cheap. thanks...

 

They didn't come with engine options. It would have to be a GSL to have a lsd.
