Parking Brake Cable

Ok I needed to replace my brake pads in the rear on my 82' GSL. I've gotten everything back together, but I can't figure out how to get the parking brake back onto the lever. Any suggestions?

cable is held by 14mm nuts on each end. and the cable bracket is held in the rear caliper with a 14mm bolt.

the choice is yours

put a screwdriver between the 2 sides of the lever and widen it up a bit. turn the end of the cable sideways and slide it through. thats what works for me
