If you have low brake fluid the brake light will stay on. If you have a blown tail light the brake light will stay on I believe. Check these things first and if those are okay take the cover off the parking brake handle and make sure the plunger of the switch is not stuck. Good luck man

Pull back the carpet around the e-brake.... There's a switch with a single wire (as I recall) coming from it... That's the one =)
edit: grr, damn forum...
Blown lightbulbs will cause the ebrake light to stay on? Interesting.

Speaking of brake fluid...
Does anyone have a brake fluid level sensor? I have an '84 GS, and mine... well... broke... in half. Don't ask how it happened, I'm not entirely sure myself, but I don't need a full cylinder, and can't seem to buy the sensor seperately. It's that black rod that goes straight through the middle of the resivoir on the Master Brake Cyl (I noticed in the VB catalogue that not all of them had those). If someone has a spare, could they please message me?
