Painting Caliper and Drum housing

I have done it before, I masked of surrounding areas and cleaned up any drips on the rotors. It looks ok.

I'm going to repaint them a different color (one that MATCHES MY CAR, i'm not color blind any more), and i want to take off the calipers to paint them fully. I was just wondering if its ok to do this, or will i screw up my alignment.

Should i just do it how i did before? Thanks

Geoff

it all depends on how good you want it to look,
i suggest replacing the pads and shoes if your gonna take the stuff apart anyway,

pads for your front should be around $10.00 since you have a gs or older model

shoes for the rear are also cheap but have a core charge

I have a slightly warped rotor, so i'm just oging to change them all out and get that fixed when they wear down.

Will i run into any problems taking it off though? I'm not a very good mechanic (i learn as i do stuff kind of thing)

Did you take off the calipers before or just spray them after masking off the rotors? With good preparation work they should have looked great. The colour need not have to match, I have seen yellow on a red car which really stood out.

It turned out fantastic, but, its yellow on a black car, which looks tight, but all the other highlights are done in red. So i'm repainting them red.

(I have a crimson and black interior as well, to go with my black/ red exterior)

I'm thinking i'll just mask it off

Just on the warped rotor... if it's in the rear then it's more likely a bent axle.
