Painting brake calipers...

So, since I'm cleaning up my new GSL rear-end, I was thinking about painting the calipers too, just so everything is nice and clean. I saw the "brake caliper painting kits" at my local auto parts store, and I'm wondering: Is there a difference between regular ol' paint and this caliper paint, other than a $10 difference in price? I'm not looking to paint them red or yellow or any ricer **** like that, although red would match my RB springs... I just want to get them cleaned up.

Your thoughts?

High temperature paint. I heard hobby enamel paints (the kind used for models) work pretty well too.

I haven't looked closely at the kits, but they may have a better than usual primer and high temp top coat. A good etching primer and ceramic high temp paint will do the same thing.

I used one of the kits you mentioned and the paint appeared to be a very good quality. Goes on smooth and levels nicely. (Brush on)

I use the engine paint for engine blocks and then bake the part at 150 degrees for about 2 hours or just put on my wood stove for the night and the paint is hard as a rock. Primer is a must. Brake fluid is a great paint remover so anythng but powdercoating is going to come off as some point in time.
