Looks great, Craig. One thing you might want to consider, however, is to crosshatch that surface with a stone by hand to give it some teeth for oil retention and to break in the seals. Like this:

I run the 9.7 compression rotors in my race P-port, and it makes serious, Porsche beating power.

by the way, that street port that has just been closed was good for 125kw on the wheels. This p-port better be good for 180+

Ok I know this is gonna sound dumb since I do know enough about rotary's but what is the price to expect to spend on a P-port build? Also since it has been brought up which rotors are best? I am in serious thought about doing a P-port and wanna make sure I know as much as possible. Craigw1 please update us with more pics.

yep, that intake is a little longer than normal. the theory goes a taller intake allows earlier torque. we went for the taller manifold then rather than 'spacing' it up. i am just as eager as you guys to get this thing going. its a public holiday here in south africa tomorrow (national barbecue day !). And i took off the rest of the week. hopefully i'll be starting up by next weekend if everything goes ok. cleaned out the garage today, laid out all my spanners, sockets etc. its just going to be me in the garage with the rx7 p port and the radio. no wife, no kids. BLISS !

motor is in and mounted
gearbox is in and mounted
exhaust is on
starter is on and wired up
alternator is on and wired up
oil cooler is in and all 'hosed' up
radiator is in and 'hosed' up
battery is on charge...

tomorrow the intake, carb and distributor will go in

then its time to hook up the battery, fill oil and water

and FIRE HER UP !

watch this space for pics/vid
