over heating?

over heating?

my temp guage says my rx is over heating only prob is that it has only been running for bout 15 sec. and has plenty of collant, if u know of any reasons y this might be please post a reply thnks.

Remove the sensor from the radiator. Careful, it screws in and the wire is brittle. Clean the connections and try again. These coolant sensors are notoriously fickle at this stage in the game

sorry but the water temp gauge's sensor is located in the block, below the oil filter. the sensor on top of the radiator is only for coolant level.

right. I'm thinking of the low coolant sensor. I was typing that but changed my mind.

This would depend on what year car he has. Mine its behind the water pump.
