opening ports

i am thinking about wiring open the 5th and 6th ports and did a search and couldn't really find a conclusive answer if it was the best thing to do. some say that it will kill your low end power. is there any truth in this? should i look into wiring them open or use the tube from the presilencer to open them with backpressure? could someone post a picture of where they are located too, i have looked in the haynes manual and couldn't find anything. thanks.

I'm not going to get into the benefits of wiring shut or open the ports because of the **** this is going to raise with everyone posting testimonials and trashing opposing points of view.

I suggest you try it yourself and see how you like it.

As for a picture, here you go:
