One More Exhaust Question

This is my first rx-7 and I'm new to the forum so please bear with me. I've been trying to catch up with all the posts. I've read an overwhelming number of exhaust posts and still not sure what to do. If I don't care about any performance gains, or what kind of sound the exhaust has...I just want to get this car back on the street with an exhaust that will pass inspection and last a reasonable amount of time. Are there any non-performance bolt-ons out there? Something that will last? Also, given an exhaust system that was specifically designed for an rx-7/rotary...how long should you expect it to last? Thanks.

Well, as long as you're going to need a full exhaust, why not gain power and sound?

www.racingbeat.com The best exhaust for the rotary is there.

I'm not really into the performance. So I'd trade that off for price. I'd rather not spend $600 on the performance kit if there is something out there for a lot less. Every post on the subject pretty much points to the racing beat (mazdatrix). Is that the only game in town?

Why not back with good used stock exhaust then?

Cars on the west coast have great stock exhaust systems/mufflers with only surface rust. Since we don't salt our roads our cars last a long time, plus we have dry heat so corosion is not a issue.

What year is your car, and what pieces are you looking for?

It's a 1980. It looks like I need everything except the muffler. Thanks.
