Old Friend Returns

In '85 this GS sold for $14,000 brand new. (yes, kinda high!)
In '92 I bought it for $3000. (original owner had a kid)
In '99 I sold it to my buddy for $1000. (We had a kids)
Last week he gave it back to me for $0.00. (His wife had a kid)

This 85' GS is bone stock.
No hits, only minor dents, original paint w/pin stripes (faded badly).
152K on the ODO. Cats are blown, won't pass smog.
In need of major fluid redo and tune-up.
Last few years it sat under a pile of cardboard.

Not that I need another project car, but maybe I'll work on her for a while and get her ready for when my kids start driving, in about 6yrs. (Ah, the Irony!)

The other thought would be to strip her down and turn her into a track/autoX racer.
Either way, I've been very happy to see her back in my garage even with the added wear and tear. So my excitement has led me to making this post after being absent from this board for years.

Other than RX7 breaking, I really see no reason to rid yourself of them

Ive got one child and another on the way, so I bought a Sweedish Tank and a DD 2nd Gen for myself... Seriously why does anyone sell them?

So if I'm following the logic here...If you have an RX-7, then you have kids, you have to sell the RX-7. Whew, glad we got the RX-7 LONG AFTER we had kids. Now we can just get rid of the kids.

Welcome back!

I was wondering when you would get back on the forum so I could ask you about MG stuff.
