Okay. It's time for action.
I'm sick of driving this Honda, wishing I could race or drift or drive something with some style... While the head room and practicality of four seats is nice, I need the RX-7 back... I'm also sick of just seeing the car sitting there.
With that in mind, I need some things that I can't get where I live, as the junk yards around here don't have any 84/85 RX-7's...
My main request is rear wheel wells. I need em...
Anyone got an 84/85 parts car with no rust?
Tax return's going to engine rebuild and porting... Is it likely that I can reuse the Iron side housings? (Engine still runs, 176K on the clock... I was told it's too old to reuse the aluminium rotor housings as the Chromium coating will probably be flaking off.) If no, then I'm just going to core the engine on a fresh rebuild. If yes, then I'm going to get rotor housings and seals and gaskets and **** and do the rebuild myself.
Also, I'd like a black or dark grey dash... Not very important, but if someone's building a race car and getting rid of it, I'll take it off your hands.
It's time for me to spend the money I have BEFORE something comes up and I have to save it.

You can ONLY know whats reusable is to tear the engine down and check it,
If your having a shop do it ..some shops are real picky on the rotor housings.Just think that you have flaking, once you tear it down and it dont then your ok..
The plates you would most likely reuse.
I personally dont want to take my grey dash out,I can look out for you on one though.

The iron plates are usually reusable unless there is some serious warpage in the engine. Typically they can be lapped and made like new again. As far as rust free RX-7s go, there aren't too many up here in Saskatchewan, and if there were, shipping is a little exorbiatant to Virginia.
