Ok guys heres my pics of my wreck from 1995
I was going southbound at about 35 mph and a old lady in a Buick regal decided she wanted to turn, well she hit me in the driver's side of my 80...
After about 2 months of work I got it back on the road.
By the way my buddy scanned them and he got 1/2 of them sideways..
Let me know if I get 'I love My RX-7' award of the year

Well upon inspection of it, I counted the frame bent in 10 places after that I stopped counting. the floorboard on the drivers side was buckled, the A-pillar was toast. Whole apron assembly, strut ripped outta the upper mount. The rear quarter panel was toast, adn worse after the jaws of life got to it... Even had to replace the rear axle assy, cuz it spun me around and I hit a curb. Well to make a long story short, I got 7500 for body injury, and 3k for the car, and I got to keep it.
People called me crazy for fixing it but I had a point to proove. EVERYONE said man you cant fix that car its trashed, and Im like watch me! Well anyways, all the parts were 1800 + about 200 for beer
... And the car drove perfectly staright, and even endured another frontal collision by another "I dont know how to drive' *******... Its pretty bad when you start cutting across welds you did previously...
Heres what it looked like when done,

LOL But the thing about GM cars like that, its like 12 bolts and its instant new doghouse
@JoshP Actually the RX-7 is a very safe car, as far as the construction goes. The only really weak point is the doors, but thats with most cars. Theres virtually no support in them.
Now frontal collisions are a litte different story. All cars are designed to bend downward and away from the driver. The rear is VERY strong, I have seen the inner quarters, kinda minds me of a BMW or a Mercedes.. Super strong inner structures with ribbing and misc support...
Now only If I could get the pics of the sunroof install on my 85.

Ouch! My '85 also was accosted by an ******* in a Buick. He hit me at 40 mph. Ripped the front left fender right off the car and knocked my silly. I was OK... but the Rex was in the shop for 12 weeks. Of couse, that was back in '87, so the insurance company felt competted to repair it.
