Oily spark plugs, Lucas stabilizer?

Is there a general consensus on whether or not Lucas helps with oil getting into my plugs? I had a problem with my engine cranking/not turning, so I replaced the plugs and it started just fine. When I took the plugs out they were pretty heavily oiled. The car started fine, and I've been problem-free since until yesterday, and now I'm getting the same issue. I didn't pull the plugs because I didn't have time but I suspect I'm going to see the same thing I saw weeks ago.

A few (very old) threads suggested that putting some oil stabilizer in would rid the issue and help out whatever seals are leaking through to my plugs. Is this considered generally true or is there something else I could be looking at? Hopefully they aren't too bad and I can just clean/re-use the ones I have, spending $24 a month on plugs isn't my idea of fun.

If the car isn't smoking like a chimney while driving, then it isn't oil that's on your plugs. Probably a fuel/carbon/oil mixture.

Gas can leak down into the carb after shutdown, causing flooding. After driving it till warm, shut it off and pull off the air filter. Watch for gas running into the carb (might take a few minutes).

Otherwise, Lucas makes great stuff.
