Oil on trailing plugs
Ok i just cleaned my plugs a week ago, cause trailings didn't look too hot. so now i do an inspection and find that there is still a bit of Oil/gas on my trailing plugs, I'm running dlidfis. I also took out my trailing plugs to see if it was getting spark, (and maybe i'm wrong in doing it this way but i disconnected the leading plug, and just placed part of the trailing plug on the chassis, and got someone to start it) It didn't spark at all. I changed ignitors 3 days ago, i'm getting frusterated. the tach works fine, and i don't drive it like a *****. What is up with this oil, and lack of firing? By the way, i'm also running 4-5 ounces of premix, and omp, but i don't consider that over doing it.
thanks for any help.
thanks for any help.
Seems like youre not getting spark on the trailing plugs. I would check for spark on the trailing plugs by unplugging the leading ignitor(s), then pulling the trailing plugs and checking for spark by setting them on the engine as a ground, and watch as someone turns the engine over with the key. Make sure to keep them away from the open spark plug holes in case any gas or anything comes out, you dont want to start a fire
.
Anyway, if theres no spark, check your ignitor and wiring Maybe a bad coil?
