Oil in rear rotor housing??
I purchased an 85GSL a little over 7 years ago with about 77K with a bad clutch and it has been sitting. A buddy of mine was going to finally help me get my project going and we found oil in the rear rotor house. When you hand crank the engine you can see it pool up on the apex seal. We did try to get it started a couple of weeks ago just to see if it would start. It cranks and turns over smoothly but by the time he got a chance to really look we found the oil. Do you guys feel it needs to be rebuilt?

I wouldn't worry about the oil at this point. No telling how it got there. Maybe the previous owner. Get it running then address any issues.
Empty the gas tank. Put in a new fuel filter. Check spark. Make sure there is oil in the pan. Check the coolant level. Then try to start it.
After it has 1/2 hour of run time if you have smoky exhaust then be concerned. If it doesn't start, check compression.

It's likely that someone added oil to the housing before storing the car. You can remove the spark plugs and crank the engine over and force the oil out. Just make sure you have a towel in front of the spark plug holes or you'll coat the left side of you engine bay with oil mist.
I agree with the above statement, get the car ready to start with new components as needed and check for proper spark, full delivery, and check fluids. Get the engine started and let it run and see how well it runs and where you stand with it smoking. The engine will smoke for some time but it should clear up after a bit of running.
