Oil dip stick

This may be a dumb question, but when doing a TII swap, or in my case, REW swap, which oil dip stick should be used? Is it based on the oil pan used?

Use the dip stick that came with the engine no need to swap them around.
If you mean you went from N/A to turbo use the dipstick that came with the turbo motor.

The dipsticks can be different lengths. The later engines have a steel extension tube for the dipstick to make life easier when the engine is as buried by EFI crap as they are. Manifolding, charge pipes, other clutter etc.

Yea like my dads TII FC rx7 the dipstick and fill neck is buried under the intake charge pipes and other bits and pieces,
it's going to be fun when he has to service the car.
Iv seen you can get those bent filler necks to make things easier might have to look into it.

Thanks guys. I'll have to look at my spare motor to see if it had a dip stick.

The rubber stopper on my dip stick slid and I am guessing at where ir used to be. My guess puts the length from the case to end of dipstick was 10.25" It is 1983 12A engine. Could any one measure theirs to see how close I am to correct. Thank you in advance.!!!

Thank you so much that is exactly what I needed. I filled it up with 4 quarts and was still low. So figuring with what it should be the extra heavy each need to fill is incorrect. I will measured out to 10 3/4" clear to clean metal and then try. JB weld to hold in place

Thank you again.

Still playing with the sniper fuel injection and liking it better the more I learn. My starter only turns over about 153 RPMs, but interested to see if it will start tomorrow at -2 with this low starting speed.

rxtasy3 Thank you. Yours sound close to where mine is. ( except being a 13B LOL) What rpm does yours idle at ? This my only Rotary I have owned and was ported 25 years ago. Even If the guys were still around, They most likely would not remember the exact porting they did on it. Half or full port.

In the spring I want to try out the 40% delay on the secondaries engaging.
