Oil cooler hoses

Going to replace my oil cooler hoses. I was wondering if -8 AN is good or do I need to go -10 AN like the racing beat set.
Thanks

8an is probably ok, but the FD ran larger hoses, so 10an would be better.

or just go to a hydraulic shop and have the rubber hose parts replaced, way cheaper

This is Aeroquip hose rated to 250psi and 300deg, we thought it would be fine. It blew off within 8 laps around the infield at Charlotte

+100000 - push lock only for fuel lines - low pressure fuel lines. I had push lock on a race car for over a year before it failed but when it did, it came off just like yours. I think the issue is heat not pressure. The oil coming out of an engine is so close to the rated limits of the hose so it isn't safe to use. Now, if you go against Aeroquip's instructions and use hose clamps you may be okay.

I have -10 on my race car but I have seen -8 used also. The OE hoses are kind of in between -8 and -10. I used -10 because the adapters from Mazdatrix are -10 and buying them was the easy button.

Thanks guys! 10an it is... I just happened to have an 8an hose from a 1988 turbo and thought I would use it but I would rather be safe.
